Went to see Mary Poppins with with friends last night and met Laura Michelle Kelly who kindly gave us of tour of the theatre with Hamish, Elizabeth, and Rich. Most amazing part of the evening was seeing how high into the theatre Laura gets suspended. I was nervous for everyone involved.

This is why I have a photoblog. Friend and AMAZING musician Jenny Owen Youngs (www.jennyowenyoungs) was assisting me during a shoot and this was just a one-off test shot. But I love it too much to let it languish in the depths of a hard drive never to be seen. Here is a recent photo of Sandrine Marlier. It may be a trend, but i'm enjoying losing focus and detail in my images and still like them.

I've been really lucky to work with so many fun, creative people in the past few months. So lucky that I'm almost afraid to say so for fear that it might end. But my work is never just me. I'm going to start a new series of photos this month. One of my favorite things about New York is the public transportation. The thing that irritates me most about New York is the public transportation. Someone at a conference on city construction I attended earlier this year said we are not using our grandfather's infrastructure, but our great grandfather's infrastructure. So i'm going to document what must be the last days of of the New York Subway system.

One of my favorite things to do when i visit a different country is to go to grocery stores. One of the things I love about Getrman grocery stores is that they dedicate as much room to chocolate and gummy candy as most stores dedicate to canned goods. Here is Curry-Wurst. It is something I love to eat at German street fairs, but in the grocery store it just looks disgusting.
